Mother Goose Time is the preschool curriculum that we follow at Mrs. Amador’s
Daycare. Mother Goose Time sends us our curriculum on a monthly basis,
featuring a new theme each month. With themes like “Community Helpers” or “Baby
Animals”, your preschooler will be learning about subjects that will interest
them and enrich their minds with new ideas, engaging and exciting them.
Every day we sing songs, listen to music, read interactive stories, and
practice early reading, math, and science skills. We play games and complete
science projects related to the monthly topic. We also practice our writing
skills and make many treasured pieces of art.
Preschool curriculum is aimed for the 3-4 year old age group; however,
some 2 year olds may be ready to start early learning preschool activities,
too! Mother Goose Time does provide an age appropriate alternative curriculum
for toddlers that are ready to start transitioning to preschool. The toddler
curriculum follows the same monthly theme, but has more age appropriate
activities for your toddler to start with.
The curriculum has a weekly fee $5
per child which is required for students aged 3-4 years old (and 5 years
old, unless child is enrolled in Kindergarten during the day) that attend
daycare during preschool hours (9am-12pm, M-F). The “early learner” toddler
curriculum is more costly, so when parents choose to start the program their
fee will be $8 per child, per week.
*Toddler curriculum is aimed for ages 24-36 months and is highly recommended for children aged 30-36 months.
