Day 4: Sails
Today we talked about how sails help boats move. We started by blowing the paper boats around the table, simulating a wind blowing a boat's sails...
With our boats numbered 1-10 we talked about "more than" and "less than" by comparing the number of counted windows on the ships...
We played a game similar to musical chairs, but rather than using chairs we rowed from one boat to the next and when the island tunes stopped, each child identified the number of the boat they were standing on (1-20)...
Our art of the day was a sailboat puppet that the kids decorated and glued together...
