The life cycle of butterflies & ladybugs will be the focus of our new unit.
I have a few art projects, many great library books and a very interesting lesson plan for the kids
to help them learn and understand more about the life cycle of butterflies and ladybugs.
The special surprise for the kids is (don't tell, parents!) that we will be observing the life cycle of a ladybug first hand, with our new ladybug habitat and hatching kit, the Live Ladybug Land by
Insect Lore!
We will be having an order of ladybug babies delivered with their supply of food, and then we will be watching as they grow from egg to larva, to pupa to adult ladybug. When our baby ladybugs reach adulthood we will take a field trip to the Natomas Rose Garden to release them!
